Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions in Florida is seeking a Deficiency Coordinator to estimate and generate sales proposals for repairs identified during inspections of fire alarm, sprinkler, and life-safety systems. You will be the primary contact for customers with outstanding deficiencies, ensuring timely quoting and completion.

The role requires proactive outreach to customers, strong negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to coordinate with the service department and field inspectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred. Candidates with a combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Fire Alarm, Sprinkler or Security industry knowledge is a plus.
• Over the counter sales or customer service experience.
• Comfortable with proactively reaching out to customers and solving problems.
• Strong computer skills.
• Organized and process oriented.
• Effective communication and ability to present before broad audiences.
• Strong negotiation skills and competitive spirit.

Responsibilities

• Generate system repair estimates and proposals in a timely manner upon the completion of inspections.
• Coordinate with customers to facilitate timely repair of deficiencies.
• Develop relationships with field inspectors and obtain copies of inspection reports for timely evaluation and quoting.
• Gain commitment from the customer over the phone and/or email.
• Coordinate with the service department on scheduling of repairs.
• Provide customers with recommendations and communicate system integrity issues that require urgent repair.
• Track deficiency quotations by customer and dollar amount.
• Deliver sales to an assigned quota.
• Interface with the service department to ensure timely scheduling of repairs.
• Engage with service managers and other sales representatives as required based on size and scope of repairs.
• Provide written notice to customers who elect not to perform repairs.

The role of the Deficiency Coordinator is to estimate and then generate sales proposals for repair work that has been identified during contracted fire alarm, sprinkler, and life safety system inspections.
