Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, seeks a Business Development Engineer for the US Air Force to bridge RF capabilities with customer requirements across airborne and ground environments. You will collaborate with engineering and business development to demonstrate interoperability of StreamCaster radios and MN-MIMO waveform in field tests and customer engagements.

This role offers up to 50% travel, remote work flexibility depending on location, and exposure to defense

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years of relevant experience.
• Exposure to SDRs, IP routing, or tactical communication systems.
• Familiarity with RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal generators).
• Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months of hire.
• US citizenship due to clients under US government contracts.
• Experience with TCP/IP networking, Linux, or scripting (Python, C++) for test automation.

Responsibilities

• Support technical planning, field trials, and evaluations of StreamCaster radios in airborne and ground environments.
• Collaborate with Engineering and BD teams to verify solution architectures are technically sound.
• Align with BD to support technical needs and strategic priorities.
• Build and present technical demos for airspace, tactical edge, and expeditionary networking.
• Conduct market research to identify potential industry partnerships and test end‑to‑end architectures.
• Engage with Air Force program offices and AFRL/AFLCMC leads for program alignment.
