Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a leading provider of MANET/MIMO radios, seeks a Business Development Engineer for USSOCOM to bridge RF capabilities with customer requirements and support field demonstrations across multi-domain environments.

The role involves collaboration with engineering and business development, travel up to 50%, and remote work adaptability depending on location. A background in EE/CE/CS and 2–5 years in defense tech is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EE/CE/CS/Network Eng or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years in systems engineering or defense tech; or HS Diploma with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Exposure to SDRs, IP-based routing, or tactical communication systems.
• Familiar with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Security clearance: Government SECRET or ability to obtain within 15 months.
• Citizen due to clients under U.S.
• Experience with TCP/IP networking, Linux, or scripting (Python, C++) for test automation.
• Ability to work in a remote team setting.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and work in rugged field environments.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USSOCOM capability gaps and map needs to tactical radio solutions.
• Plan networks, configure systems, and run field trials and evaluations.
• Collaborate to benchmark data and verify architectures are technically sound.
• Align with Business Development to meet strategic priorities.
• Build and present demos for low-signature, tactical edge needs.
• Conduct market research for integrations with industry partners.
• Engage with USSOCOM stakeholders and leads across commands.
• Gather field feedback to inform product roadmaps and track progress.
• Travel up to 50% to customer sites and labs.
