Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a leader in MANET and MN-MIMO waveform tech, seeks a Business Development Engineer for USSOCOM to bridge RF capabilities with military customer needs. You will support field trials, coordinate with engineering and BD teams, and help demonstrate interoperability of StreamCaster radios across challenging environments.

The role involves up to 50% travel to sites and labs, with a 100% remote option depending on location; requires security clearance and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related C5ISR field or equivalent experience.
• Exposure to Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), IP-based routing protocols, or tactical communication systems.
• Familiarity with RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal generators).
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months.
• U.S. Citizenship required for government contracts.
• Background check and drug test clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USSOCOM capability gaps and SOF-peculiar communications needs; map operational requirements to radio solutions.
• Plan network configurations and coordinate live field trials and evaluations.
• Collaborate with Applications Engineering to validate architectures with testing data.
• Align work with Business Development on strategic priorities and customer needs.
• Contribute to technical demonstrations tailored to low-signature and tactical edge environments for USSOCOM elements.
• Support RFI/RFP responses with technical input.
• Perform market research identifying potential integrations with industry partners.
• Engage with USSOCOM stakeholders and translate field feedback into product roadmap inputs.
