Silvus Technologies, a leading provider of advanced MANET and MIMO communications, seeks a Business Development Engineer, USSOCOM to bridge RF capabilities with SOCOM requirements. You will work with Engineering and BD teams to support acquisition stakeholders and demonstrate interoperability of our StreamCaster radios across tactical environments.

Role involves up to 50% travel to customer sites, labs, and field-testing environments, with remote options depending on location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related C5ISR field with 2-5 years of demonstrated experience in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense technology roles.
• Exposure to or working knowledge of Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), IP-based routing protocols, or tactical communication systems.
• Basic familiarity with RF test equipment, such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Security Clearance: Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.
• All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.

Responsabilités

• Assist in analyzing USSOCOM capability gaps, SOF-peculiar communications requirements, and Hyper-Enabled Operator/tactical edge network design goals, mapping operational needs to tactical radio solutions.
• Support technical planning, network configuration, and live-on-the-air execution of field trials, modernizations, and user evaluations.
• Collaborate with the Applications Engineering team to leverage continuous testing and competitive benchmarking data, helping verify that proposed solution architectures are technically sound.
• Maintain close alignment with the Business Development team to support their ongoing technical needs and align work with established strategic priorities.
• Assist in building and presenting technical demonstrations tailored to low-signature, resilient, and tactical edge operational needs of USSOCOM and its component commands.
