Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Security & Compliance Architect to support sales to the Department of War/Department of Defence, and other national security agencies. This is a highly technical, customer-facing pre-sales role where you tailor demonstrations and configurations to defend audiences.

You will address risk, map frameworks like CMMC/NIST/FedRAMP, and guide IL4/IL5 discussions while collaborating with Technology Compliance and Engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent with security focus.
• Experience in solution engineering/pre-sales in security/compliance.
• Knowledge of DoD/DOD frameworks and cloud security.

Responsibilities

• Understand a customer's risk, security, or compliance concerns and communicate how Salesforce's infrastructure, architecture, and application features address them
• Advise on IL4/IL5 authorization requirements and GCC High interoperability considerations relevant to defense and national security environments
• Work with technical organizations within Salesforce to represent DOW/DOD requirements
• Maintain understanding of network security, cryptography, data-in-transit protections, and other technical topics for IT/CIO-level conversations with defense stakeholders
• Partner with sales teams to remove security as a blocker by engaging CISOs, CIOs, RMF Authorizing Officials, and other key decision makers
• Track emerging cybersecurity risks and DOW/DOD policy changes and translate them into customer-ready guidance
• Scale the role through internal and external education - publishing enablement materials and leading hands-on technical workshops
