Job summary

Salesforce's Public Sector team seeks a Solution/Sales Engineer to operate across the DoW ecosystem, engaging with military program offices and defense contractors. You will run discovery, architect cloud solutions, build POCs, and drive adoption of agentic AI.

You’ll demonstrate security posture for DoW IL2/IL4/IL5, support RFI/RFPs, and collaborate with account teams to accelerate pipeline while delivering scalable, compliant demos.

Qualifications

• 7+ years as Solution or Sales Engineer for CRM/enterprise SaaS/mission IT with DoW or defense contractor customers preferred
• Hands-on with Agentforce, Data Cloud, and Salesforce Platform; able to prototype agentic workflows, automation, and data pipelines
• Practical AI fluency: knowledge of LLMs, RAG/grounding, agentic design; safety, reliability, governance for DoW environments
• Deep discovery and MVP scoping: run technical and business discovery, define agentic use cases, set success criteria, outline architecture/activation plan
• Familiarity with DoW compliance frameworks
• Strong written, verbal, and whiteboard communication; able to engage from developer to C-suite and COTR
• U.S. citizenship; ability to travel domestically; willing to obtain DoW security clearance

Responsibilities

• Engage with DoW customers to understand mission requirements and technical environment
• Map requirements to Salesforce portfolio and deliver tailored demos/POCs for DoW use cases
• Architect and prototype agentic DoW solutions including governance and data handling patterns
• Articulate Salesforce security/compliance posture for IL2/IL4/IL5 to evaluators and program offices
• Support RFI/RFP responses with technical content, demos, and architecture docs
• Collaborate with Account Executives, Capture Managers, and Customer Success in a team-selling setup
• Create reusable POC assets, playbooks, and best-practice guides for scaling delivery across DoW customers
• Provide Voice of the Customer to Product and Marketing
