Job summary

Silvus Technologies seeks a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with USSOCOM requirements, reporting to Applications Engineering. The role emphasizes demonstrations, field-readiness, and multi-domain operations across tactical edge and uncrewed environments.

The position requires up to 50% travel, with remote work options depending on location, and participation in ongoing technical benchmarking and customer engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer/Network Engineering or related C5ISR field; 2–5 years in systems engineering/defense tech roles
• Experience with SDRs, IP routing, or tactical comms
• Familiarity with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Background check and drug test clearance required

Responsibilities

• Analyze USSOCOM capability gaps and map needs to radio solutions.
• Plan and execute field trials, modernizations, and user evaluations.
• Collaborate with Applications Engineering to verify architectures and benchmark data.
• Support Business Development with technical needs and strategic priorities.
• Build and present demonstrations for low-signature, tactical edge needs of USSOCOM.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses and test end-to-end network architectures.
• Identify potential integrations with industry partners through market research.
• Engage with USSOCOM stakeholders and translate field feedback into product roadmap inputs.
• Travel 50% to customer sites, labs, and field tests.
