Job summary

Motorola Solutions' Silvus Technologies seeks a Business Development Engineer, US Air Force, to bridge RF capabilities with DoD requirements. You’ll work with the Applications Engineering team to demonstrate interoperability of our StreamCaster MANET radios across airborne, surface, expeditionary, and uncrewed environments.

This role involves up to 50% travel for field tests, customer demonstrations, and studies, with a 100% remote option depending on location. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field; or HS diploma with 5+ years of technical/defense experience.
• Experience in systems engineering or defense technology roles.
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months.
• U.S. Citizen required.
• Background check and drug test clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USAF priorities and map requirements to tactical radio solutions.
• Plan and execute field trials, modernizations, and user evaluations.
• Collaborate with Applications Engineering to validate architectures.
• Maintain alignment with BD on technical needs and priorities.
• Develop and present technical demonstrations for airborne, edge, and expeditionary networks.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses with technical input.
• Conduct market research for potential industry partnerships and integrations.
• Engage with DoD program offices and labs for program alignment.
• Translate field feedback into product roadmap inputs, tracking progress.
