Machina Labs is seeking a Head of Business Development for Defense Primes to lead strategic engagements with U.S. and international defense contractors.
The role focuses on building trusted relationships with program managers, engineers, and procurement teams, while guiding opportunities from feasibility studies through qualification and production awards. You will collaborate with engineering and operations to align technical requirements with customer funding and advancement toward full-rate
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field is required.
- 10+ years in defense business development, capture, or program leadership with primes.
- Proven ability to convert technical evaluations into qualification contracts and production awards.
Responsabilités
- Develop and expand relationships with U.S. defense primes and international partners.
- Lead capture plans, proposals, and negotiations for qualification and production awards.
- Define candidate parts, technical requirements, and milestones with engineering teams.
- Maintain CRM records, forecasts, and pipeline quality for funded qualification and awards.
- Coordinate international pursuits with leadership, compliance, and localization teams.
