Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Network Operations Intern to join the Digital Modernization Group on the GSM-O II contract at Scott AFB, IL. You will help defend and sustain the Defense Information System Network (DISN) within the DODIN for DISA, contributing to mission-critical operations.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a degree program in a relevant field (excludes Cyber Security).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, OSI Model, ServiceNow, and SharePoint.
• Able to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and contract personnel via various channels.
• Experience with technical writing and a working knowledge of networking concepts and topologies.
• Must be able to obtain a Secret or Top Secret clearance; Secret required to start (sponsorship available).
• U.S. citizen; work onsite at Scott AFB, IL; transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Perform incident management support for the DoD global network.
• Create, update, and resolve incident tickets using ServiceNow ITSM+.
• Monitor internet access points for events affecting global connectivity.
• Provide real-time network monitoring using various tools.
• Review and develop contract delivery documentation and metrics.
• Provide situational updates to leadership and customers during network events.
• Offer support for customer questions across all phases of Network Management.
• Verify service restoration after ticket resolution.
• Record and track incident tickets escalated to specialized teams.
