Job summary

C3EL is seeking a cleared and experienced Implementations Network Engineer to join our team on-site at Scott AFB, IL. This role supports the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), providing technical expertise for configuring, installing, and servicing DoD network infrastructure.

The engineer will oversee deployments, perform system testing, IT&A activities, and support project-based network rollouts across DoD environments, coordinating with DISA project managers and customers to ensure

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance.
• Current DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent).
• Proficient knowledge of network hardware specs, configuration and testing processes.
• Network engineering, problem management, and performance management experience.
• Knowledge of networking architecture, evaluating and recommending new technologies.
• Knowledge of data and voice network design across multiple transmissions systems (BGP/ISIS, VLANs, etc.).
• Experience with network services (BGP, OSPF, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, WAN, VPN, VLAN, VRF) and network appliances.
• Knowledge of configuring, activating, testing, and analyzing network systems.
• Ability to work in a team environment while being self-driven.
• Strong written and verbal communications, teamwork and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with customers and complete IT&A and data input per DISA standards.
• Configure and maintain DISA out-of-band management network (Cisco & Juniper).
• Upgrade software on Cisco and Juniper devices.
• Create/update project planning docs for IP addressing and port assignments.
• Perform systems analysis to determine hardware and software requirements.
• Ensure POC, location, and interface data are correct and properly formatted.
• Verify correct POC for circuits traversed.
• Engage with DISA PMs/customers to resolve unclear requirements.
• Facilitate approvals with stakeholders to move service requests forward.
