Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Quality Engineering Specialist to join Arsenal-1, driving MRB processes and nonconformance containment across manufacturing. You will work closely with product quality engineers to implement inspection plans, lead investigations, and drive data-driven improvements in a fast-paced defense environment.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing/quality, AS9100/ISO standards experience, and the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• 5+ years in manufacturing and/or quality/engineering roles.
• Experience supporting HW development and quality management.
• Proficiency with CAD software and inspection data management tools.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Experience with calibrated tools and CMMs.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with investigative equipment and material compliance.
• Experience with AS9100/ISO9001/IATF16949 or similar QMS.
• Experience validating and testing assemblies and components.
• Experience communicating with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
• Must obtain and hold a U.S. TS/SCI security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manages the site MRB process and nonconforming materials containment.
• Embed within manufacturing to resolve nonconforming items.
• Review work instructions and provide feedback.
• Clarify go/no-go decisions to inspectors.
• Lead containment of nonconforming items and inspect parts.
• Assist in root cause analyses.
• Coordinate with engineering for nonconformance dispositions.
• Ensure accurate data collection for MRB and metrics.
• Communicate process performance to stakeholders and drive improvements.
• Track MRB metrics weekly and coordinate RMA with warehouses and buyers.
• Maintain quality containment for material, tooling, and inspection equipment.
• Create inspection plans for incoming, in-process, and end-of-line checks.
• Train technicians and inspectors on inspection and data capture.
• Propose and implement QA policies and procedures with QA engineers.
• Pursue continuous improvement projects for productivity and quality.
• Perform internal process audits per Quality Systems Engineer guidance.
• Analyze data to identify trends affecting processes and product quality.
• Stay current with inspection technologies and suggest improvements.
