Job summary

Anduril Industries in Columbus area is seeking a Quality Engineering Specialist to join Arsenal-1. This role focuses on monitoring, inspecting, and improving final products to meet quality standards, with strong ownership in fast-paced execution of statements of work.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of manufacturing or quality/engineering experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment supporting HW development and quality management.
• Proficiency with CAD software and inspection data management software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Experience with calibrated equipment (calipers, micrometers, CMM, Faro arm, OMM).
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings (wire diagrams, CAD).
• Experience with AS9100/ISO9001/IATF 16949 or similar QMS.
• Experience with validation and testing assemblies and components.
• Experience communicating with suppliers and cross functional teams.
• Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. TS/SCI security clearance

Responsibilities

• Manages the site MRB process and coordination with manufacturing.
• Imbedded in manufacturing to resolve nonconforming materials.
• Review Work Instructions and provide feedback.
• Provide clarification or go/no-go decisions to inspectors.
• Own containment of nonconforming items and verify parts.
• Assist in root cause analysis.
• Coordinate internal triage with engineering for dispositions.
• Ensure data collection and MRB entry accuracy.
• Communicate process performance and quality issues to stakeholders.
• Track and report MRB metrics weekly.
• Execute vendor RMAs with warehouse and buyers.
• Manage quality containment for materials, tooling, and inspection equipment.
• Create inspection plans for incoming, in-process, and end-of-line checks.
• Train technicians and inspectors on inspection plans and data capture.
• Develop and implement QA policies, review with product quality engineers.
• Suggest continuous improvement projects for productivity and quality.
• Conduct internal audits per Quality Systems Engineer directions.
• Deep-dive data and traceability to identify process trends.
• Stay current with new inspection technologies and propose improvements.
