Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Quality Engineering Specialist to monitor, inspect, and improve final products to meet strict quality standards. You will embed in manufacturing, lead MRB, and drive containment and root cause analysis across engineering teams.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing/quality, CAD proficiency, and AS9100/IATF familiarity. Security clearance may be required for access to sensitive programs, with competitive benefits and equity.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing and/or quality/engineering role.
• Experience in manufacturing supporting HW development and quality management.
• Proficiency with CAD software and inspection data management software.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Experience with calibrated equipment (calipers, micrometers, CMM, Faro arm, OMM).
• Experience reading engineering drawings (wire diagrams, CAD).
• Experience in a facility with AS9100, ISO9001, IATF 16949 or similar QMS.
• Experience with validation/testing assemblies and components.
• Experience communicating with suppliers and cross functional teams.
• Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. TS/SCI security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage the site MRB process and containment of nonconforming items.
• Be embedded in manufacturing to assist in containment and resolution.
• Review Manufacturing Work Instructions and provide feedback.
• Support in providing go/no-go decisions to inspectors.
• Lead containment and verify non-conforming parts.
• Assist in root cause analysis and cross-functional triage.
• Ensure MRB data collection and accuracy.
• Communicate quality issues to stakeholders to drive improvements.
• Track MRB metrics weekly and report results.
• Coordinate with Warehouse and Buyers on RMA processes.
• Manage quality containment for materials, tooling, and inspection equipment.
• Create inspection plans for incoming, in-process, and end-of-line checks.
• Train technicians to execute inspection plans and data capture.
• Propose and implement quality assurance policies and procedures.
• Review continuous improvement projects for productivity and quality gains.
• Perform internal audits of processes and procedures.
• Analyze data and traceability for trends and variations.
• Stay current with inspection technologies and best practices.
