Job summary

Jobot is seeking a skilled paralegal to provide comprehensive litigation support for insurance defense matters. You will draft and file pleadings, manage discovery, and coordinate depositions from case inception through resolution.

The role requires at least 3 years of insurance defense litigation experience, strong research abilities, and proficiency with Westlaw/ LexisNexis. A hybrid schedule is available after training, with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of insurance defense litigation paralegal experience.
  • Maintain 1600 billable hours annually.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive litigation support to attorneys handling insurance defense matters from case inception through resolution, including appeals when needed.
  • Draft, proofread, and finalize pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, motions, correspondence, and other litigation-related documents.
  • Conduct legal research utilizing Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal resources to assist with case development and motion practice.
  • Coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, arbitrations, and trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness materials, and case files.
  • Review and analyze medical records, claim documentation, and other evidence while preparing chronologies, summaries, and litigation support materials.
  • Prepare and electronically file legal documents in state and federal courts, ensuring compliance with procedural rules and filing deadlines.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, expert witnesses, court personnel, and other parties regarding case activity, scheduling, and document coordination.
  • Maintain accurate case files, calendars, and litigation databases while tracking deadlines and ensuring timely completion of assignments.

Salary: $75,000 - $92,000 per year
