Job summary

KBR is seeking highly motivated students for a Summer 2027 Defense & Intel Internship in Electrical or Computer Engineering. You will work on real-world assignments, gaining exposure to technical and operational challenges while building valuable skills for national security and advanced technology initiatives.

Interns will collaborate with experienced professionals, participate in hands-on projects, and develop telemetry, data analysis, and modeling capabilities in a supportive, growth‑oriented

Qualifications

• Full‑time rising junior, senior or graduate student pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a Technical related field.
• Major fields of study: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or any other scientific/engineering/technical degree with appropriate experience.
• Experience with Python,MatLab, C++, Java or similar coding languages.
• Learn and apply state‑of‑the‑art scientific coding practices.
• Perform validation and regression testing of new and existing MATLAB scientific code.
• Experienced with Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Learn details and functions within our cross-functional engineering team.
• Perform device fabrication tasks in a cleanroom environment.
• Characterize devices using parameter analyzers, function generators, and oscilloscopes.
• Develop and execute test scripts to streamline data collection and analysis.
• Document processes, collect data, and present results within the research group.
• Learn and execute device and circuit modeling techniques, including finite‑element software.
• Other duties as assigned.
