Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Solutions Architect to advance the U.S. War Department business in the World Wide Public Sector. You will own the technical engagements, define architectures, respond to RFPs, and become expert in AWS security for customer apps.

Role includes leadership in best-practice sharing, collaboration with AWS teams, and mentoring others across enterprise architectures. Travel ~50% is expected. U.S. citizenship and Top Secret clearance required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in technology domains (software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
• 3+ years in design, implementation, or consulting for applications and infrastructures.
• 8+ years IT development or implementation/consulting in software or Internet industries.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance at Top Secret or above.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects.
• Define implementation architectures, respond to RFPs, and develop deep expertise in AWS technologies and integration approaches.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services.
• Lead efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge within the AWS solution architect community.
