Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to drive cloud architectures and implementation strategies for U.S. War Department programs within the WWPS practice.

You will own technical engagements, define architectures, respond to RFPs, and become a security SME across AWS services. Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in tech, 3+ years in architecture/consulting, and current Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Executive Speaking and Presentation Skills - White board, small and large group presentations.
• Technical – Development/deployment experience, cloud computing, containerization, networking, generative AI.
• Operational – Web site/services operations, management, and security.
• Economic and business - RFP/Acquisition support; Technical architecture; understanding market trends; cost benefit analysis.
• Advisory/Consulting experience with War Department customers.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects.
• Define implementation architectures, responding to RFPs, developing a deep expertise in the AWS technologies as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform.
• Be a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services.
• Lead efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solution architect community.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and partners to drive successful cloud adoption for defense customers.
