Job summary

Sauer Brands, Inc. seeks a Deductions Specialist to efficiently process customer deductions and support the Sales Accounting team. You will validate claims, approve or reject deductions, and coordinate with the Credit team for processing or repayment.

The role reports to the AR/Credit Manager. Responsibilities include reducing open deductions, gathering supporting data, and ensuring timely, accurate entry and reconciliation of transactions in the general ledger.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; college accounting classes preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Review and process deductions within timeframes and analyze data to reduce future occurrences.
• Gather backup to validate deductions with sales team, customers, and internal partners.
• Analyze research results to determine deduction validity.
• Clear deductions with vouchers or credit memos to the original deduction.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and support ad hoc projects as needed.
