Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking an enthusiastic Outside Sales Rep to grow our decking and outdoor living product line with builders and subcontractors in the Bluffton area. You will prospect, present, and close projects while managing client relationships on-site and on projects.

You should have 2+ years of decking sales experience, be skilled at reading blueprints, and comfortable using MS Office. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of decking product sales experience.
• Experience with wood, composite, PVC and railing products.
• Ability to cold call new and existing customers.
• Read blueprints and interpret local building codes.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with customers and subcontractors to determine needs and provide services.
• Attain and maintain sales of outdoor living and decking products.
• Present to builders and advise on product features and benefits.
• Do take-offs and prepare estimates, ensuring orders are shipped on time.
