Job summary

Synectics Inc. is seeking a Debt Recovery Paralegal with 3+ years of experience to support community association collections, including court filings, discovery, client communication, and recovery matters.

You will open and manage collection files, handle e-filing and calendars, draft legal documents, review ledgers, and assist attorneys with hearings and trial preparation while maintaining professional client and court communication.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of paralegal or legal assistant experience in a law firm.
• 2+ years of debt collection and FDCPA exposure.

Responsibilities

• Open and manage collection files, request documents, prepare correspondence, and maintain case files.
• Handle e-filing, calendars, hearing/trial scheduling, service of process, payments, and database updates.
• Draft motions, petitions, proposed orders, discovery documents, and responses under attorney supervision.
• Review account ledgers, calculate payoff amounts, respond to client/court/debtor inquiries, and conduct legal research.
• Assist attorneys with hearings, trials, discovery, and trial preparation while maintaining timely, professional client and court communication.
