Great Hearts Arlington Upper School seeks a Dean of Students to collaborate with the Headmaster in maintaining a safe, respectful learning environment. You will lead student conduct initiatives, support teachers, and promote positive behavior and engagement across the campus.

The role emphasizes building student culture, coordinating with families, and overseeing disciplinary programs, with occasional teaching or substitution duties as needed.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• At least 2 years of teaching experience or equivalent in the field.
• Experience in a liberal arts institution or knowledge of Great Books curriculum preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Establish and maintain standards of student conduct to ensure a safe and orderly environment.
• Build and protect student culture across the campus.
• Act as liaison for families, students, faculty, and staff regarding conduct issues.
• Proactively address behavioral issues and support academic engagement and student confidence.
• Coordinate with school leadership regarding disciplinary and social-emotional matters.
• Oversee discipline actions (detention, suspension) and monitor consistency of approaches.
• Support faculty with classroom management tools and instructional coaching.
