Job summary

Great Hearts Arlington Upper School seeks a Dean of Students to support student conduct, culture, and engagement under the Headmaster's leadership.

The role partners with families, teachers, and counselors to implement behavioral programs and ensure a safe, respectful environment for all students in the Arlington campus. Requires a bachelor’s degree and at least two years of teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least 2 years of teaching experience or equivalent in the field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to deliver difficult messages with sensitivity.
• Experience with behavioral interventions and instructional coaching preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe, orderly school environment and conduct standards.
• Lead and build student culture and engagement through programs and events.
• Serve as liaison among families, students, faculty, and staff on conduct matters.
• Coordinate with support staff on social-emotional issues and interventions.
• Oversee disciplinary actions and attendance interventions.
• Support teachers and administrators with classroom management and behavior programs.
• Attend school events and support professional development.
