Job summary

Great Hearts Academies is seeking a Dean of Students to lead student conduct and culture at Archway Scottsdale. You will work closely with the Headmaster to maintain a safe, orderly environment and to reinforce school values.

You will serve as the primary liaison among families, students, and staff while modeling appropriate behavior. The role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least two years of teaching or equivalent experience, with a preference for liberal arts familiarity and the Great

• Bachelor’s degree at minimum.
• At least 2 years of prior teaching experience or equivalent in the field.
• At least 2 years of experience in a liberal arts institution or knowledge of the Great Books core curriculum preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish and enforce standards of student conduct to ensure a safe, orderly school environment.
• Build and protect student culture and community engagement.
• Liaise with families, students, faculty, and staff regarding conduct and progress.
• Intervene to improve behavior, academic engagement, and student confidence.
• Coordinate with related offices on disciplinary and social-emotional matters as needed.
• Support faculty with classroom management tools and interventions.
• Oversee disciplinary actions and monitor attendance and tardiness.
