Job summary

Snell Motor Companies seeks an Accounts Receivable Accountant to manage cash, checks, and credit card receivables across multiple dealership platforms. You will post and reconcile transactions, ensuring accurate ledger balances and full ownership of assigned accounts for daily oversight.

Responsibilities include posting card and check receipts, reconciling cash, researching disputes, maintaining filing systems, and providing timely financial updates to dealership management.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of general administrative and bookkeeping principles
• Proficiency in MS Office, including ability to generate and interpret spreadsheet data
• High degree of accuracy, attention to detail
• Excellent data entry skills - Reynolds system desired
• Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills
• Effective organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently, as well as a team member
• Ability to work with a diverse group of people
• Proven customer negotiation skills

Responsibilities

• Analyze, prepare, and input accounting data
• Post credit card transactions daily into accounting system
• Receive and post checks daily, ensure proper categorization
• Reconcile cash receipts daily against operations transactions for accuracy
• Take messages for routine and non-routine questions
• Maintain and update filing system
• Research disputes as they arise
• Retrieve information from files as needed
• Work closely with other departments while maintaining professionalism
• Keep a neat and well-organized workplace
• Maintain weekly schedules to update management
