Job summary

Avamere Skilled Advisors, LLC in Gresham, OR is seeking a Support Services Provider to assist Deaf and Deaf-Blind residents at Avamere at Chestnut Lane. This PRN/on‑call role focuses on bridging communication, facilitating accessibility, and promoting independent living.

The position requires fluency in American Sign Language and tactile signing, with duties including coordinating interpreters, developing ISPs, and supporting residents with daily activities, transportation, and community

Qualifications

Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and familiarity with tactile signing required.
Experience serving Deaf, Deaf-Blind, or hard-of-hearing populations preferred.
Ability to coordinate interpreters and accessible communication for medical and facility settings.
Demonstrated empathy, communication skills, and ability to advocate for residents' accessibility rights.

Responsibilities

Bridge communication barriers for Deaf/Deaf-Blind residents and support independent living.
Develop and monitor individualized support plans (ISPs) in collaboration with residents and staff.
Coordinate interpreters, captioning, and augmentative communication systems.
Assist with daily activities, transportation, and community integration.
Advocate for residents' rights and promote cultural and linguistic accessibility.
