Job summary

HeartShare is seeking a DD Training Specialist to design, schedule, and deliver high‑quality training for the DD Division. You will conduct Pre‑Service Orientation, SCIP, CPR/First Aid, Autism Overview, and other regulatory trainings to staff across multiple sites.

You will manage training materials, track progress in Paycom LMS, and ensure records remain audit-ready. The role requires collaboration with the Director of Training and compliance with OPWDD/state regulations.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in a related field; equivalent education/experience may be considered.
• Minimum of two years working with individuals with developmental disabilities required.
• Certifications required or to be obtained within probationary period.
• SCIP Instructor certification or eligibility.
• CPR/AED/First Aid Instructor certification or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Deliver New Employee Pre-Service Orientation and Pre-Service Contingency training to all incoming staff per OPWDD requirements.
• Deliver SCIP certification and recertification training, including physical intervention techniques.
• Deliver American Red Cross CPR, AED, and First Aid certification and recertification training; maintain instructor certification.
• Deliver Autism Overview and other clinical/behavioral trainings as assigned.
• Facilitate onsite and virtual trainings on regulatory topics (Infection Control, HIPAA, confidentiality, etc.).
• Monitor and track course completion using Paycom LMS; maintain accurate records.
• Prepare training materials using MS Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Set up and break down training rooms and equipment at multiple sites.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and suggest curricular improvements.
• Support scheduling across residential and program sites; minimize service disruption.
• Act as a resource to staff and supervisors on training requirements and deadlines.
• Assist Director of Training with special projects and regulatory reviews.
