Job summary
O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Shipping Supervisor to direct daily outbound operations in a distribution center in Houston, TX. The role includes guiding the shipping/loading team, ensuring adherence to company policies, and collaborating with DC and HR managers on staffing and budgeting to drive productivity.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, exceptional communication, and solid computer skills.
Qualifications
- Must have high school education or GED.
- Demonstrated leadership and customer service focus.
- Strong reading of numerical and alpha identifiers; detailed oriented.
Responsibilities
- Assist Shipping/Loading Supervisor with daily operations and tasks.
- Oversee shipping/loading department to ensure compliance with policies.
- Collaborate with operations and DC managers on payroll, budgeting, productivity.
- Conduct scheduled evaluations and provide training to team members.
- Support recruiting, hiring, and training practices with HR and operations managers.
- Assist budget planning and capital expenditure processes for the department.
- Maintain safety standards and identify unsafe practices.
- Handle additional duties as assigned.
