Job summary

SanMar in Avondale, AZ is seeking a DC Shift Manager who will orchestrate daily and weekly operations, manage staff, and ensure safe, efficient execution of receiving, storage, and shipping.

This role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, performance reviews, coaching, and process standardization to improve efficiency and customer experience, with a start salary of 68,800 and a 1:00pm–9:30pm shift.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
• 1-3 years experience building and maintaining cross-functional working relationships.
• 1-3 years supervisory experience.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Strong conflict management skills.
• Ability to manage difficult employee situations in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for maximizing customer experience through the coordination of processes and operations across the DC.
• Monitors the quality, quantity, and efficiency of the movement of product, including labor planning and balancing.
• Monitors the shipping from the DC, to ensure the products are distributed to the proper transportation channels in an accurate and timely manner.
• Conducts annual performance reviews and provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions), ensure effective collaboration across all functions.
• Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of operations.
