Job summary

SanMar-Internal is seeking a Distribution Center Shift Manager for the 1:00pm - 9:30pm shift in Avondale, AZ. The role oversees daily and weekly operations, including receiving, storage, and shipping, and hires, manages, and motivates the shift staff.

You will drive efficiency, monitor labor planning and product movement, and oversee shipping to appropriate channels. A Bachelor's degree and 1–3 years supervisory experience are expected, with strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
• 1–3 years experience building and maintaining cross-functional working relationships.
• 1–3 years supervisory experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-directed and motivated; able to work independently and as a team member.
• Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to change in the work environment.
• Ability to build strong rapport with associates and lead by example.
• Maintain confidentiality and discretion.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate DC operations to maximize customer experience.
• Monitor quality, quantity, and efficiency of product movement, including labor planning.
• Oversee shipping from the DC and ensure proper transportation channels.
• Conduct annual performance reviews and guide day-to-day management across functions.
• Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of operations.
