Job summary

Steelcase Inc. in the Washington DC metro area is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead a high-performing sales team and drive profitable growth through close collaboration with dealer partners and Steelcase sales teams.

The role requires guiding a six-person team, coordinating resources regionally, and expanding market share in Architecture & Design and Commercial Real Estate communities in DC.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership in a team-based sales environment.
• Experience selling through distribution channels.
• Proven success selling into A&D and commercial real estate in a specification-driven role.
• Ability to develop end-user focused new business strategies.
• Located in or willing to relocate to the Washington DC area.
• 5-7 years of relevant sales or leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver regional revenue results through direct leadership of six sales professionals across Washington DC.
• Lead and motivate the team through shared vision, high empathy, and mutual accountability.
• Coordinate and deploy additional Steelcase sales resources within the region.
• Foster leadership alignment and create a strong selling synergy with dealer partners.
• Develop relationships, brand awareness, and product preference within Architecture & Design and Commercial Real Estate communities in Washington DC.
• Create and execute market strategies with emphasis on new business development in competitive accounts and new verticals.
• Activate and enhance experiences at the Washington DC Worklife Center.
