Job summary

Airgas is seeking a DC Supervisor in Levittown, PA to lead outbound shipping operations, drive efficiency, and coach a team of shipping associates and material handlers. The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and the use of SAP/WMS to audit orders and improve inventory accuracy.

Qualified candidates have 2–5 years in distribution center leadership, SAP/WMS experience, forklift certification, and a strong focus on safety and process improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business preferred.
• 2–5 years of progressive distribution center or warehouse leadership experience, with focus on high-volume outbound shipping.
• Hands-on experience with SAP (or equivalent ERP/WMS systems), Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs), and parcel carrier platforms.
• Forklift operator certification required; DOT/Hazmat shipping certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day outbound shipping workflows, order verification, staging, and carrier dispatching (LTL, parcel, and dedicated haulers).
• Supervise, train, and coach a team of shipping associates and material handlers; conduct daily shift huddles and manage scheduling.
• Drive a “Safety First” environment by ensuring OSHA, DOT, EPA, and Airgas SAFECORE standards, investigate incidents, and lead safety training.
• Utilize SAP and Warehouse Management Systems to audit outbound orders, track inventory accuracy, resolve order exceptions, and log shipping data.
• Coordinate daily carrier pick-ups, evaluate delivery performance, and ensure compliance with hazardous materials shipping protocols where applicable.
• Oversee powered industrial equipment maintenance logs and maintain hazard-free dock areas.
