Job summary

ORBIS Corporation in Urbana, OH is seeking a DC Operations Manager to lead distribution center functions on-site and off-site, ensuring optimal material flow and effective Warehouse Management System (WMS) management.

You will manage day-to-day operations, inventory control, shipping/receiving, scheduling, procurement, and budgeting. Lead continuous improvement and liaise between operations and Supply Chain for optimal service levels.

Qualifications

5–10 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or logistics.
3–5 years of experience in manufacturing or logistics.
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day operations of plant supply chain, including inventory control, shipping, and receiving.
Monitor and evaluate the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Troubleshoot WMS issues and identify root causes.
Liaise between operations and Supply Chain Management.
Assist in process designs for WMS projects, testing, and implementation benchmarks.
Oversee inventory control, shipping, receiving, and warehouse activity.
Oversee procurement and scheduling to meet service metrics.
Identify, manage, implement continuous improvement on inventory accuracy.
Manage plant inventory investments and stock levels.
Maintain shipping and receiving to optimize flow in on-site and off-site warehouses.
Manage master planning data.
Oversee purchase requisitions and change requests from customers, plants, suppliers.
Assist Plant Manager in planning and managing the DC budget and staffing.
Other duties as assigned.
