Job summary

Owens & Minor is seeking a Distribution Center Operations Leader to coordinate receiving, warehousing and shipping within the assigned DC, ensuring service and cost objectives are met.

Lead the operations team, drive process improvements, monitor KPIs, and train teammates while maintaining safety and compliance with SOPs. Collaborate with Account Management, Transportation, and Corporate Operations to support new customers and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
• 3+ years in supply chain or warehouse operations with leadership experience.
• Knowledge of logistics, distribution, and warehouse management best practices.
• Ability to work in a matrix environment and motivate teams.
• Proven ability to analyze data and apply continuous improvement methodologies.
• Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the distribution center operations team.
• Identify and implement process improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methods.
• Monitor KPIs and analyze data to drive changes.
• Coordinate training and development for teammates.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and SOPs.
• Schedule management and time attendance for the function.
• Provide feedback, coaching and corrective action as needed.
• Support new customer implementations at the DC.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs and WI for warehouse operations.
