Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a DC Area Supervisor to lead an hourly team and guide the distribution center to run safely, efficiently and productively in a fast-paced environment.

You will hire, evaluate, develop and discipline hourly associates, coach and train teams, and manage performance. You will safeguard inventory accuracy, monitor key metrics, and plan staffing to meet business needs. Reports to the Operations Manager and may supervise 20–30 associates.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of work experience.
• 3+ years supervisory experience in a related field.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage 20 to 30 hourly associates and oversee daily distribution center operations.
• Hire, evaluate, develop, discipline and terminate hourly staff as needed.
• Coach and train associates to maintain productivity, safety, service and quality.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and monitor key metrics (productivity, accuracy, quality, expenses).
• Coordinate staffing needs to align with business plans and performance goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.
