Job summary

Home Depot is seeking a DC Assistant General Manager to lead a large distribution center team and coordinate inbound, warehouse, outbound and office operations. The role works with the General Manager to set objectives, maximize productivity and optimize expenses.

The position requires 3 years of leadership experience, a high school diploma or GED, and willingness to relocate. Strong MS Office skills and the ability to work weekends/holidays are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Preferred: Bachelors Degree concentrating in Operations Management, Business or Supply Chain.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist General Managers with evaluating methods, procedures and staffing to optimize movement and processing of product.
• Support DC financial, operational, people and process objectives to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ensure operational excellence across warehouse areas and proper layout of space and product placement.
• Coach and develop management staff through on-floor coaching and formal evaluations.
• Uphold a culture of safety and compliance with Home Depot policies.
