Job summary

Tractor Supply Company is hiring for its 2027 Distribution Center Human Resources Summer Internship Program in Pendleton, IN. This onsite, 11-week internship starts in May 2027 and offers mentorship, professional development, and hands-on exposure to HR and DC operations.

Interns will work with HR and operations leaders across policy, recruiting, onboarding, and safety, gaining real experience supporting the Team Member lifecycle and potential for future opportunities within Tractor Supply

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recent graduate with a bachelor’s/master’s in HR, business, management, or related field; rising seniors preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail, organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Ability to organize information, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced DC environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Willing to relocate to Pendleton, IN for the internship duration.

Responsibilities

• Support HR policies, procedures, and compliance within the DC.
• Partner with HR leaders to address Team Member questions and workplace matters.
• Assist with workforce data analysis and HR metrics to identify trends.
• Support recruiting activities for hourly and technical roles, including interviews.
• Coordinate and facilitate training and onboarding for Distribution Center Team Members.
• Assist with safety initiatives and investigations.
• Contribute to HR projects focused on improving processes and the Team Member experience.
