Job summary

The Home Depot in the DC area seeks a DC Area Supervisor to lead an hourly team and influence the distribution center toward efficient, safe, and productive operations. You will oversee hiring, evaluation, development, discipline, and termination of hourly associates to maintain high standards of performance.

You will supervise 20 to 30 associates, coach for safety and productivity, and drive inventory accuracy while planning staffing with leadership. Reports to the Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 or older and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Flexibility to work various shifts and relocate if required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years supervisory experience in a related field is expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop an hourly team to meet safety, quality and productivity goals.
• Hire, evaluate, coach, discipline and terminate hourly associates as needed.
• Ensure accurate and prompt handling of merchandise and inventory control.
• Monitor and improve key metrics such as productivity, accuracy and expenses.
• Coordinate operations planning and staffing with management.
