Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a DC Area Supervisor to lead a team of 20 to 30 hourly associates in a fast-paced distribution center. You will recruit, evaluate, develop and discipline staff, ensuring merchandise handling is efficient, accurate, and safe.

Qualifications include at least a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years of work experience, and flexibility to work various shifts; Bachelor's degree and WMS experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Flexibility to work various shifts.
• Ability to relocate.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree; Warehouse Management Systems experience; 3+ years supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• 45% Managing Process: Ensures operations procedures are followed; identifies changes and recommends improvements to leadership.
• 25% Coaching and Developing Associates: Training, coaching, feedback, and evaluations; hiring, discipline, and termination of hourly staff that report to you.
• 15% Drives Results: Maintains inventory accuracy; analyzes reports to identify areas for improvement in metrics like productivity, accuracy, quality, and costs.
• 15% Business Planning: Coordinates operations to meet production rates; analyzes reports to plan staffing and resources.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by Operations Manager, Assistant General Manager or General Manager.
