Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a DC Area Supervisor to lead an hourly team and drive efficient, safe, and productive distribution center operations. This role will manage 20 to 30 hourly associates and be responsible for hiring, evaluation, development, discipline and termination of staff.

Key responsibilities include coaching and developing associates, ensuring process adherence, maintaining inventory accuracy, and planning staffing to meet business needs. Travel is typically <10% with various shift flexibility.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: Must be eighteen years of age or older; legally permitted to work in the United States; flexibility to work various shifts; ability to relocate.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; Computer skills in software including Microsoft Office; Experience with Warehouse Management Systems; 3+ years supervisory experience.
• Minimum Education: high school diploma and/or GED.

Responsibilities

• Manage 20 to 30 hourly associates and oversee daily DC operations to ensure safety, efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and recommend improvements to leadership.
• Coach, develop, evaluate and discipline hourly associates as needed; hire and terminate staff within assigned department.
• Maintain inventory accuracy, monitor key metrics (productivity, accuracy, quality, expenses) and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate staffing and scheduling to align with business plans and production targets.
