Job summary

Ampact's Math Corps program seeks tutors to work in local schools, delivering structured math practice and mentoring to groups of students. You will participate in on-site tutoring, attend regular coaching sessions, and help students build math confidence through proven activities.

You will be trained and supported throughout the role, with opportunities to grow professionally while contributing to a nationwide, high-impact tutoring effort administered by Ampact.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a track record of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and make improvements from feedback.
• Proficient with basic computer skills (email and online navigation).
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult who's focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores in data software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
