Job summary

Friendship Community Care, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional to work on an interdisciplinary team delivering quality services in home and community settings. You will assist clients with daily living tasks, provide transportation, and document progress toward each plan of care.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and a valid Arkansas driver’s license. The role requires adherence to HIPAA policies, confidentiality, and continuous training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two+ years' experience working with developmentally disabled individuals.
• Valid Arkansas driver’s license required.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, memos, and write simple correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in basic living skills and daily personal tasks such as showers, dressing, housekeeping, meals, and budgeting.
• Provide transportation to activities and appointments as needed.
• Maintain communication via logs and meetings to track progress toward the plan of care.
• Complete required documentation (Behavioral Reports, Incident Reports, Forms) accurately and timely.
• Follow medication management guidelines and monitor related procedures.
