Job summary

The Donald Danforth Plant Science Center is currently seeking a skilled Prep & Line Cook to join the Cafe team and play a pivotal role in assisting in the overall success of the culinary operations. This full-time (35 hours per week) Monday-Friday daytime, benefit eligible position offers pay starting at $18.50 an hour.

Under general supervision, this position performs various food preparation, cooking, and cleaning tasks to ensure the kitchen remains efficient in creating and delivering dishes

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years kitchen experience.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Ability to follow HACCP guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily food preparation and cooking tasks.
• Set up workstations and stock ingredients.
• Prepare lunch items during service window.
• Maintain clean, safe and organized kitchen areas.
