Job summary

Ascension Coffee is seeking a Line/Prep Cook to support the Kitchen Manager in daily kitchen operations. You will help with food preparation, ensure quality, and maintain high standards of presentation and safety in a fast-paced cafe environment.

You will handle basic line tasks, assist with special events, and contribute to a collaborative, inclusive team culture. Nights and weekends are required, with opportunities to learn and grow in a vibrant hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in food preparation and line cooking.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weight.
• Willing to work nights and weekends, and travel between locations if needed.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all steps of food preparation.
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards.
• Ensure food quality by upholding company recipes and presentation standards.
• Support kitchen equipment cleaning and maintenance using daily checklists.
• Wash dishes as needed.
• Participate in special events, including off-site catering.
