Job summary

Continental is hiring for a preparation cook position at the CE Cafe on the Plaza in Michigan. The role requires assisting with food preparation, storage, and service for a fast-paced cafe environment. Typical shift is Monday through Friday from 6 AM to 2 PM, with a compensation range of $16.00 to $17.00 per hour.

The cook will follow approved procedures and food safety guidelines while engaging with customers and supporting a positive team atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Experience in food preparation and sanitation.
• Ability to store and handle food safely and follow storage procedures.
• Customer service skills and ability to describe items to customers.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation: wash, peel, cut, portion and prepare ingredients for service.
• Food Storage: receive, store, and monitor temperatures of foods and storage areas.
• Food Service: serve food, describe items and answer questions.
• Teamwork: contribute to a positive team environment and communicate with managers.
• Safety & Sanitation: follow health guidelines, clean and sanitize workareas.
• Other duties: perform additional tasks as needed.
