The Big Biscuit in Topeka, KS is seeking cooks for a daytime kitchen role with hours from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm. The ideal candidate will be reliable, team‑oriented, and committed to delivering a fast, friendly breakfast and lunch experience.

You will prepare and cook menu items, stock stations, maintain cleanliness, follow safety procedures, and communicate with expo and servers to keep service moving smoothly. Excellent communication and a positive attitude are essential.

Formación

• Prior cooking or line experience in a high-volume environment.
• Understanding of basic cooking techniques and kitchen safety.
• Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistent quality.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stay calm and organized during busy service periods.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and cook menu items according to Big Biscuit recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
• Set up, stock, and maintain all line stations before, during, and after service.
• Ensure food is cooked to proper temperatures and served promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the line, prep areas, equipment, and storage spaces.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and allergen‑handling procedures.
• Assist with prep work, portioning, labeling, and rotation of ingredients.
• Communicate clearly with expo, servers, and fellow cooks to keep service running smoothly.
• Monitor product levels and notify management when items need to be prepped or ordered.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any maintenance issues.
• Support teammates during peak periods to ensure fast, accurate ticket times.
