Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital, part of Trinity Health Of New England, is hiring an OR scrub assistant in a full-time day shift. A $7,500 sign-on bonus is available for external candidates, with on-call weekends and holidays required.

The role supports surgeons during operative procedures and works under supervision from registered nurses. Qualifications include graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program, NBSTSA CST certification, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology.
Licensure: Certified CST from NBSTSA.
Certification: BLS from American Heart Association or Red Cross required.
Experience: Minimum one year of scrub experience preferred.
On-Call- Weekend and Holidays (Required).

Responsibilities

Functions as a professional under direct supervision of qualified professionals.
Serve as first scrub/scrub assistant in selected cases during operative procedures.
Assist with preparation of sterile/unsterile supplies and equipment.
Assist with transferring and positioning patients and transporting them between stretcher and table.
Cross-training between Main OR and Ambulatory Unit.
