Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a Per Diem Day shift at RWJ Rahway. The role includes 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM) in the Post Intensive Care unit, with a focus on thorough patient assessments and evidence-based care.

The position offers competitive hourly pay and requires NJ RN licensure, IV certification, BLS, ACLS, and EPIC EMR experience. Experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry, or ER is preferred, and a Bachelor's degree in Nursing is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• I.V. certification from an approved facility.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications and hands-on care.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers for timely care decisions.
• Educate patients and families clearly to support next steps in care.
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and ensure smooth transitions of care.
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment and ongoing professional growth.
