Job summary

Ash Grove Cement is seeking a Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations at the Milledgeville, GA facility. The role focuses on safety, quality, waste, productivity and cost control, with emphasis on maintaining equipment uptime and efficient process performance.

You will assist the Superintendent, coordinate maintenance, manage the safety program, and report on plant performance. Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, at least 1 year in a relevant field, a driver’s license, and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year of experience in a relevant field.
• Driver's license is required.
• Ability to recognize hazards and safety measures to implement.
• Ability to plan and direct the work of others.
• Ability to perform and interpret laboratory tests for operational adjustments.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency with standard software tools for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in managing operation detail and serve as acting supervisor in their absence.
• Lead safety program and demonstrate safe work practices.
• Coordinate maintenance scheduling to minimize downtime.
• Monitor plant issues and drive timely resolutions.
• Coordinate resources for maintenance activities and testing.
• Ensure proper sampling, testing, and reporting procedures.
• Maintain positive customer relations and adherence to contract.
• Oversee contracted maintenance work and scheduling.
